So you have decided to sign-up for a Google Adsense account. But… Your not sure if it is a good idea?
Well, that feeling of doubt is probably right. Your thoughts racing telling you that you shouldn’t register. Indeed, your thoughts are correct. But why? Dependency on google is what you will get. Google will become your master and you it’s slave. No you might be thinking. Not me, I am strong and independent!
Think about it then…
Google Adsense has strict policies that you must abide by in order to get paid. What happens when you don’t abide by those policies? Simple, you don’t get paid. In fact, your paying the big bucks to advertises to get your site known. You are also working hard on your social media platforms to drive traffic to your website. Who is the slave and who is the master in this relationship?
Most of us who are new to the online marketing and content platform flirt with google adsense only to realise that you aren’t able to provide your audience the content that you want to. It becomes all about pleasing google so that you can get paid at the end of the month. Whilst, Google is pimping you out like a prostitute getting you to hassle your goods on the street corner. Yes, Google is a pimp and this pimp is taking your most of your hard earned money. Something similar to a 20/80 split in favour of google. And, if your website doesn’t comply or you broke a rule, then google keeps it all whilst still making you stand on the street corner making money.
What you might be asking? Put simply, if you break the rules set then google will continue to advertise on your website whilst you bring in the traffic. You won’t be paid a cent and you will have to remove your subscription to Google Adsense in order to stop their ad’s displaying on your website.
Google is a monopoly in it’s field. If you write something bad about it then it will bury your content so deep that no one will be able to find it. Bing and Yahoo might promote it though.
Don’t sign up for a Google Adsense account, it’s not worth it. Many experienced internet marketing and eCommerce professionals will advise you against signing up. Not to mention that Google ad’s running on your site will slow down your website and make it look ugly. Sometimes, google will also run ad’s of your competitors on your website without informing you. In fact, you have to inform Google that you don’t want your competitor’s ad’s to run on your website.
People are not looking for in the box thinking regulated by Google. They want justice and true speech to find solace in as they don’t want to feel like they are going crazy in a world of conformity. Don’t let Google be your Pimp! Take a stance and know that you can monetise your website without google. In fact, when you have enough visitors businesses will come directly to you to advertise on your website. This way you will get 100% of the profit. It is hard at first but through the struggle will you find strength, satisfaction and prosperity!
